Paperboy – Gameboy Color Game

Paperboy on Game Boy Color adapts the arcade delivery game to a handheld. You ride a bicycle down a suburban street shown from an angled overhead view, throwing newspapers at the homes of your subscribers while avoiding the houses of everyone else. Papers can be aimed at porches and mailboxes, and breaking windows or knocking over property at non-subscriber houses is part of the scoring. The street is full of hazards: cars pulling out, pedestrians, dogs, obstacles on the sidewalk and lawn. Running into anything or straying off the route costs you a life, and losing subscribers shortens your route. Each day’s run finishes with a timed obstacle course, and the goal is to keep the paper round going through the week.
