Planet of the Apes – PS1 Game

Planet of the Apes on PlayStation is a third-person action-adventure drawn from the classic science-fiction film series. You play a human in a world ruled by intelligent apes, moving through levels that mix exploration and platforming with stealth and combat against ape patrols. Much of the game involves avoiding capture, working out how to get past guards and obstacles, and searching environments for items and routes forward, with some puzzle solving between action sequences. Settings range across wilderness, ape settlements and interiors, and cutscenes carry the story between stages. Controls follow the era’s conventions for polygonal third-person adventures, with the camera trailing your character as you climb, crouch and fight. The tone stays close to the source films’ premise of a lone human out of his own time.
