Pocket Fighter – PS1 Game

Pocket Fighter is a Capcom fighting game that reimagines characters from Street Fighter, Darkstalkers and other company series in a rounded, chibi art style. Fights play out in one-on-one bouts with a simplified control scheme, and the standout mechanic is the constant costume change: as characters perform attacks they flash into different outfits and props for comic effect, with animations that parody other Capcom games. Gems dropped during combat can be collected to power up your fighter’s special moves along different paths, adding a light layer of resource gathering to each match. There are also flashy chained special attacks to learn. The tone is deliberately playful, with exaggerated sprite work and slapstick presentation, while still offering the arcade structure of versus matches and a single-player run through the roster.
