Pokemon Puzzle League – Nintendo 64 Game

Pokemon Puzzle League is a falling-block puzzle game for the Nintendo 64 built on the Panel de Pon/Tetris Attack style of play. You swap coloured blocks horizontally on a rising stack, clearing matches of three or more and setting up chain reactions and combos that dump garbage blocks on your opponent’s side. The presentation wraps the puzzling in the Pokemon anime setting, with Ash Ketchum travelling to face trainers in one-on-one puzzle battles and Pokemon appearing alongside the action. Modes include a single-player campaign against a series of increasingly fast opponents, versus play for two players on one screen, and time and endless variants for practising chains. Difficulty settings adjust the speed at which new rows push up from the bottom of the well.
