Pokemon XD

A GameCube role-playing game set in the Orre region, continuing the Shadow Pokemon premise of Pokemon Colosseum. Instead of catching wild Pokemon in tall grass, you use a Snag Machine to steal Shadow Pokemon from other trainers, then purify them over time to restore their normal behaviour and moves. Shadow Pokemon use special Shadow moves and can fall into a state where they resist your commands. Battles are shown in full 3D and much of the game is built around double battles. You explore towns and facilities across Orre, investigate the organisation distributing Shadow Pokemon, and can transfer Pokemon between the GameCube and compatible Game Boy Advance titles. A battle mode is included for fights outside the main story.
