Populous The Beginning – PS1 Game

Populous: The Beginning moves the god-game formula into full 3D on the PlayStation. Instead of shaping land from a distance as an unseen deity, you control a shaman who walks the world alongside your tribe, casting spells directly on the battlefield. Each level is a small rotating planet you can spin and scan freely, and your followers gather at huts, train into roles such as warriors, priests, spies and firewarriors, and expand across the surface. You still reshape terrain to make room for buildings, but much of the game is spent unlocking new spells, defending settlements and wiping out rival tribes that share the world with you. Campaign maps grow larger and more contested as you go, and victory usually means eliminating every opposing follower on the planet.
