Primal Rage – PS1 Game

Primal Rage on PlayStation is a conversion of the arcade fighting game where the combatants are giant dinosaurs and apes rather than human martial artists. Set on a ruined future Earth, matches are one-on-one duels in scrolling arenas, with crowds of tiny human worshippers who can be stomped or eaten during a fight. Each beast has its own special moves and finishing attacks, performed with directional inputs while holding attack buttons, and rounds follow the standard best-of format. The creatures are built from digitised stop-motion models, giving them a distinctive clay-like look against painted backdrops. Modes cover single-player matches against the computer roster and head-to-head play for two. A monster-themed take on the two-dimensional fighter for players interested in mid-1990s arcade conversions.
