Prince of Persia

The Forgotten Sands on PlayStation Portable is a handheld entry built separately from the console versions, though it shares the same setting and era of the series. You control the Prince through side-scrolling and 3D-influenced acrobatic sequences, wall-running, climbing and swinging past traps while fighting waves of sand-based enemies. Combat uses sword combos alongside elemental and time-related powers that can be used against groups of foes, and abilities unlock as you progress. Puzzles centre on manipulating the environment to open paths and reach new areas. Sequences of platforming are interspersed with arena-style fights and boss encounters. The story again involves the Prince facing an army awakened by the sands, with narration and cutscenes carrying events between stages.
