Prince of Persia – NES Game

This NES version of Prince of Persia is a side-scrolling action platformer set inside a palace of dungeons and towers. You control a prince making his way upward and inward through rooms lined with spike pits, slicing blades, collapsing floor tiles and gates tied to pressure plates, fighting guards in sword duels that rely on advancing, parrying and thrusting at the right moment. The prince’s movement is animation-driven, so running jumps and ledge grabs must be set up deliberately. Potions found along the way restore health or extend your life bar, and a time limit presses on the whole journey. Levels double as puzzles, frequently requiring you to trip a switch and then race back through a corridor. The cartridge reworks the original’s graphics and music for NES hardware.
