Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time reimagines the classic platforming series in 3D. You play as a young prince who unleashes the Sands of Time after being tricked into opening an hourglass, turning a palace and its inhabitants into sand creatures. Progress is built around acrobatics: running along walls, swinging from poles, leaping between ledges and navigating trap-filled corridors of blades and spikes. Combat is fought with sword and dagger against sand beings that must be finished with the Dagger of Time to stop them reviving. The dagger also grants time powers, most notably the ability to rewind several seconds after a fall or a lost fight, plus slowing and freezing enemies. The story is narrated by the Prince himself as he travels alongside Farah.
