Psychonauts – Xbox Game

Psychonauts is a 3D platformer in which you play Raz, a boy who sneaks into a summer camp where children are trained as psychic agents. The bulk of the game takes place inside other characters’ minds, each level designed around that individual’s fears and fixations, giving every world a distinct look and set of platforming ideas. Raz gradually learns psychic abilities such as telekinesis, levitation, pyrokinesis, invisibility and a ranged mental blast, using them to fight enemies, cross obstacles and solve puzzles. You gather figments, emotional baggage and other collectibles to raise your rank and unlock further powers. The camp itself acts as a hub to explore between missions, with plenty of optional conversations. Writing and character design are comedic throughout, and the Xbox version plays on the console’s standard controller.
