Quake III Arena – Sega Dreamcast Game

Quake III Arena on Dreamcast brings id Software’s arena shooter to consoles. The focus is deathmatch: you spawn into compact, vertically layered maps, grab weapons and armour, and fight to a frag limit against opponents who respawn as fast as you do. Movement is quick and floaty, with jump pads, teleporters and rocket jumps forming a large part of the skill ceiling. Weapons run from the machinegun and shotgun up to the rocket launcher, railgun and lightning gun. You can play offline against computer-controlled bots at a range of difficulty settings, in split-screen with others in the room, or online. The Dreamcast version supports the keyboard and mouse peripherals as an alternative to the standard controller for players who prefer PC-style aiming.
