Quest 64 – Nintendo 64 Game

Quest 64 is a role-playing game for the Nintendo 64. You play as Brian, a young apprentice magician who leaves home to search for his missing father, travelling across an open landscape of fields, forests, towns, caves and castles. There are no purchasable weapons or armour in the usual RPG sense; instead your abilities grow through your four elements — earth, water, fire and wind — which you strengthen by collecting elemental spirits scattered around the world. Combat begins when you run into a wandering enemy and shifts to a bounded battle area, where you move within a limited radius each turn before attacking with your staff or casting a spell. Spells combine the elements in varying proportions to produce different effects, and exploring thoroughly is how you build a usable spell list.
