Red Faction – PS2 Game

Red Faction is a first-person shooter for PlayStation 2 set on Mars, where you play as Parker, a miner who joins an armed uprising against the Ultor corporation. Its main hook is destructible terrain: many walls, ceilings and structures can be blown apart with rockets and explosives, letting you tunnel through obstacles or create your own routes and firing positions. The single-player campaign moves through mines, tunnels, bases and outdoor Martian surfaces, mixing gunfights with vehicle sections in craft such as jeeps, submarines and mechs. The arsenal includes pistols, assault rifles, shotguns, sniper rifles, rocket launchers and remote charges. Enemies range from company security forces to mercenaries and armoured units. Multiplayer supports split-screen deathmatch across arena maps that also use the destruction system.
