Resident Evil Director’s Cut – PS1 Game

Resident Evil Director’s Cut is a revised release of the original survival horror game for PlayStation. You choose between Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine, members of a special police unit stranded in a mansion outside Raccoon City after a rescue mission goes wrong. Play centres on exploring the estate’s rooms and grounds, reading documents, solving lock-and-key and mechanical puzzles, and deciding when to fight zombies, dogs and other creatures with tightly limited ammunition. Fixed camera angles and pre-rendered backgrounds frame each room, and progress is saved at typewriters using ink ribbons. This version adds an arranged mode with altered enemy and item placement and changed starting equipment, alongside the original scenarios. Each character has different partners, weapons and inventory space, giving the two campaigns distinct routes through the mansion.
