Resistance

Resistance: Retribution brings the Resistance series to PSP as a third-person shooter. You play James Grayson, a British soldier fighting the Chimera across occupied Europe, with the story slotting in between the first two console entries. Combat is built around cover, a lock-on aiming system suited to the handheld’s controls, and the series’ unusual weapons, which offer alternate fire modes alongside conventional shooting. Levels move through ruined towns, industrial sites and Chimeran structures, mixing infantry firefights with sections against larger enemies and mounted weapons. Online multiplayer supports competitive matches for multiple players. The game also recognises a linked PlayStation 3 copy of Resistance 2, which unlocks additional content and alters aspects of the campaign. Cutscenes carry the plot between missions.
