Revolution X – Sega Saturn Game

Revolution X is the console conversion of an arcade rail shooter in which you fight a regime that has outlawed music and abducted the band Aerosmith. The camera moves along a fixed path while you aim a crosshair around the screen and fire at soldiers, vehicles and destructible scenery. Your main ammunition is thrown compact discs, backed up by limited heavier weapons, and shooting parts of the environment reveals hidden items, power-ups and captives to rescue. Stages travel between locations around the world, and finding band members affects the ending you reach. Aerosmith’s music plays during the action, and digitised photographic sprites are used for enemies and characters. The Saturn version supports pad control and can be played cooperatively with a second player.
