Rise of the Kasai – PS2 Game

Rise of the Kasai continues the story of Rau Utu, the warrior introduced in The Mark of Kri, in a third-person action game with a hand-drawn, animated visual style. Combat uses a targeting system where you flick the right stick to lock individual enemies to face buttons, then attack, counter or throw them in sequence, which lets you handle several opponents around you at once. Stealth plays a part too: you can move quietly, use Kuzo the bird to scout ahead and mark enemies, and take foes down before they raise an alarm. Levels pair you with a second character, and you can switch between the two, each with different weapons and reach. Between missions the story is told through narrated scenes.
