Rival Schools – PS1 Game

Rival Schools is a 3D fighting game in which the cast are students and teachers from rival high schools caught up in a series of disappearances. Rather than single duels, matches are fought by two-character teams: you pick a pair, choose who starts each round, and can call in your partner for team-up attacks that combine both fighters’ moves. The roster covers a range of styles, from martial artists and athletes to sports club members, each with their own specials and super moves. Fighters move in 3D arenas while combat keeps to a familiar plane-based structure. The PlayStation version adds a separate mode away from the arcade matches, where you train and develop a character through school activities that feed into their fighting abilities.
