Road Rash – PS1 Game

Road Rash on the PlayStation is a motorcycle racing game in which combat is a core mechanic. You race on open roads alongside civilian traffic, throwing punches and kicks at rival riders and using weapons such as clubs and chains to knock them down. Crashing sends you tumbling and forces a jog back to your bike, while police motorcycles chase the pack and can arrest you outright. Race winnings pay for repairs and upgrades to faster machines, so progression means balancing risk against the cost of damage. This version presents its story and characters through live-action full-motion video sequences filmed between races, and it carries a licensed rock and alternative soundtrack streamed from disc. Courses are viewed from behind the rider, with long stretches of road, oncoming vehicles, and roadside hazards to read at speed.
