RoadBlasters – Sega Genesis Game

RoadBlasters on the Sega Genesis is a version of Atari’s combat driving game. You steer an armed car along successive stretches of road from a behind-the-vehicle view, shooting at enemy cars, motorcycles and gun emplacements that try to run you off the course. Fuel is the clock: it drains as you drive, and you top it up by collecting fuel globes scattered on the road, which makes route choice and speed management part of the challenge. Aircraft periodically deliver weapon pods that bolt onto your car and provide extra firepower for a limited time. Hitting traffic or roadside obstacles destroys the vehicle. Each section is a straightforward run to the finish line, with the difficulty rising as later stretches add more enemies and tighter road layouts.
