Roadsters – Sega Dreamcast Game

Roadsters is an arcade-style racing game for the Sega Dreamcast built around licensed sports cars and roadsters. Races are run on closed circuits against a field of AI opponents, with handling tuned more for immediate grip and speed than for simulation-style physics. A career progression lets you earn prize money from finishing well, which you spend on new vehicles and on parts to improve engine performance, handling and other areas of the cars you already own. Individual race and time-trial options are available outside the career structure, and split-screen play lets a second driver join in. Presentation is straightforward, with an external chase camera, in-race position and lap information, and a music soundtrack playing over the action. Controls cover accelerator, brake and manual or automatic shifting.
