Robin Hood Prince of Thieves – NES Game

Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves for the NES adapts the film of the same name into an action game with role-playing elements. You control Robin from an overhead perspective, moving through forests, castles, villages and dungeons while fighting soldiers with a sword and using a bow for enemies at a distance. Over the course of the story you recruit companions from the outlaw band, and in some sections you can switch between characters or send them into battle, each with different strengths in combat. Battles use a top-down arena where opponents close in from multiple directions. Between action sequences, text screens and cutscenes advance the plot through the familiar beats of the legend, and passwords or continues let you resume from later chapters.
