Robots – PS2 Game

Robots on PlayStation 2 is an action platformer based on the animated film set in a world of machines. You play as Rodney Copperbottom, exploring 3D levels built from the movie’s mechanical cityscapes, factories and scrapyards. Play mixes jumping and climbing with melee and ranged combat against hostile robots, and you gather scrap and parts that can be spent on upgrades to your abilities and gadgets. Some sections shift the pace with sliding, riding and chase sequences. Voice work and character designs are taken from the film, and cutscenes retell its story between stages. The controls and level design are pitched at a family audience, with generous checkpoints and straightforward objectives rather than demanding precision platforming.
