Saga Frontier 2 – PS1 Game

SaGa Frontier 2 is a PlayStation role-playing game presented in a hand-painted watercolour art style, with characters and environments drawn in soft washes of colour. The story is told as a history rather than a single journey: you select entries from a timeline and play through episodes following different figures across generations, with the threads gradually connecting. Combat is turn-based and centres on arts and spells, with new techniques discovered during fights rather than bought or levelled in the usual way, and magic is tied to Anima drawn from the world’s stone and materials. Battles range from small party skirmishes to larger scale engagements. Because the game is built from many short chapters, the pacing shifts often between quiet character scenes and combat, and stat growth carries the SaGa series’ use-based progression rather than conventional experience levels.
