Samurai Shodown III – PS1 Game

Samurai Shodown III is a conversion of SNK’s arcade weapon-fighting game for PlayStation. Matches are one-on-one armed duels in which heavy strikes carve away large portions of the life bar, blades clash when attacks collide, and a disarmed fighter must recover the weapon while defending unarmed. This installment trims the roster to a tighter lineup that includes Haohmaru, Nakoruru, Genjuro and Hanzo, and lets you choose between two fighting styles for each character, Slash and Bust, which alter their special moves and behavior. Additional defensive and movement options expand the ground game, and the presentation uses hand-drawn sprites over detailed painted backdrops. You can play the single-player ladder toward the final opponent or take on a second player in versus matches.
