Scaler – Gamecube Game

Scaler is a 3D action platformer in which the hero is transformed into a lizard-like creature and must use his new abilities to travel through a series of themed environments. Play combines running, jumping and climbing with melee combat against enemy creatures, and Scaler can also fire electrical attacks. Along the way you gain further reptilian forms with their own movement and combat traits, which are needed to reach areas the basic form cannot. Levels are laid out as exploratory areas holding collectibles used to unlock upgrades and additional abilities, encouraging some backtracking once you have new powers. Boss encounters break up the stages. The GameCube version plays the same as other console releases of the game, with cartoon-styled visuals and a light, humorous tone.
