Scaler – PS2 Game

Scaler is a 3D action platformer starring a boy who is changed into a lizard-like creature and must use those abilities across a range of themed environments. The core play mixes platform traversal — jumping, climbing and wall-scaling — with melee combat and electrical attacks against hostile creatures. As you progress you acquire additional reptile forms, each with distinct movement or combat properties, and some routes only open once you have the right transformation. Stages hold collectibles that feed into unlocking upgrades and extra abilities, so returning to earlier areas can pay off. Boss fights punctuate the levels, and the presentation uses cartoon-styled characters and a light-hearted tone. This PlayStation 2 release offers the same adventure as the other console versions.
