SCARS – PS1 Game

SCARS is a futuristic combat racing game for the original PlayStation. You pick from a selection of vehicles designed around animal themes, each with its own handling and durability characteristics, then race on winding circuits while collecting weapon and power-up pickups scattered along the track. Offense and defense both matter: you can fire on cars ahead of you or use pickups to shield yourself, and knocking rivals off the racing line is as useful as pure speed. Modes include single races, championship progression and time trial, plus split-screen play for two players. Tracks run through a mixture of environments with jumps, tunnels and shortcuts. The presentation is science-fiction styled, with an emphasis on fast, arcade-style handling rather than simulation.
