Scorcher – Sega Saturn Game

Scorcher is a futuristic racing game in which you ride a bike through enclosed, tunnel-like courses. The tracks twist through loops, walls and ceilings, so keeping control of your machine as the surface curves around you is a large part of the challenge. Races are against a field of rival riders, and reaching checkpoints before the timer expires is required to stay in the event. Boost and aggressive contact with opponents feature in the racing, and the courses are laced with jumps, drops and narrow sections that punish mistakes. The presentation leans on an industrial, sci-fi look with a driving soundtrack. It is a game of learning course layouts through repetition and shaving time on later attempts.
