Sega GT is a racing game for the Sega Dreamcast built around licensed production cars rather than fictional prototypes. Its career mode has you earning a licence, buying a starter car and entering championship events to win prize money, which you then spend on new vehicles or on parts such as engines, tyres, suspension and gearboxes. Tuning is detailed enough that setups can be adjusted for individual circuits. Handling aims for a simulation feel, with grip and weight transfer mattering more than arcade drifting. Races run on a mix of road and closed circuits against AI opponents, and there are time trial and split-screen options outside the career. Cars can be selected from a range of Japanese and other manufacturers, with liveries and colours to choose from.
