Sega Touring Car Championship is a circuit racing game for the Saturn, converted from Sega’s arcade original. Rather than rally stages, the focus here is touring car racing on closed tracks, with cars modelled on the boxy saloon racers of the touring car scene. You race against a field of opponents over short arcade-length events, with an emphasis on braking into corners and holding a line under pressure from rivals. Options include selecting between transmission types and adjusting handling assistance, so the cars can be driven in a more forgiving arcade style or with a firmer, more demanding feel. Time attack lets you concentrate on lap times, and two-player split-screen racing is included. Presentation follows the arcade template with a music selection and on-screen timing.
