Serious Sam II – Xbox Game

Serious Sam II is a first-person shooter that sends Sam Stone across a series of distinct worlds, each with its own look, enemies and colour palette. The structure is familiar for the series: you move through open spaces and arenas while enemies pour in from all sides, including charging kamikazes, gun-toting creatures and large bosses that dominate the screen. The tone is broadly cartoonish, with bright environments, comic cutscenes between missions and oversized weaponry, including heavy guns and unusual pickups. Health and ammunition are scattered liberally, encouraging you to keep circling and firing rather than hunker down. Levels hide secret areas off the main path, and vehicles and mounted sequences break up the on-foot fighting. Multiplayer modes are included alongside the single-player campaign.
