A side-scrolling ninja action game for the Sega Genesis, released as part of Sega’s Shinobi series. You play as ninja Joe Musashi, working through stages of enemy gunmen, swordsmen and ninja while freeing hostages held along the way. Musashi attacks with shuriken at range and a sword up close, and he is accompanied by a dog that can be sent ahead to hold enemies in place while you close the distance. Held-down inputs charge a powerful ninja magic attack that clears the screen. Levels move left to right across multiple planes of ground you can jump between, and each ends in a boss encounter. Play is built around memorising enemy placement and timing jumps and throws, with limited health and a strict time limit on each stage.
