Shadow Hearts Covenant – PS2 Game

The sequel to Shadow Hearts, a turn-based role-playing game for the PlayStation 2 set in Europe during the First World War era. Yuri Hyuga returns as a Harmonixer who fuses with monster souls to transform in battle, joined by a new party including the German officer Karin Koenig. Combat again revolves around the Judgment Ring, where a needle sweeps around a circle and you time button presses to land attacks, spells and items; successful hits can be extended into combos between party members, and the Ring itself can be customised with items. The game mixes historical locations and real figures with occult horror plotting, and its tone shifts between grim story beats and deliberately strange comedy, including optional side activities such as wrestling and card-based diversions.
