Shadow of Destiny – PS2 Game

An adventure game for the PlayStation 2 built around time travel and multiple endings. You play as Eike Kusch, a young man who is murdered in the opening moments and then revived by a mysterious figure who gives him a device that lets him move between eras of the same European town. To stay alive, you travel into the past to change events that lead to your death, only to find that each alteration produces new consequences that must be dealt with in turn. Play consists of exploring the town, talking with residents across different time periods, gathering items and using the time-shift device, which draws on a limited energy supply. Several distinct endings can be reached depending on your choices and how thoroughly you investigate, encouraging repeat playthroughs.
