Shantae Half-Genie Hero – Wii U Game

Shantae: Half-Genie Hero is a side-scrolling action platformer starring Shantae, a half-genie who fights by whipping enemies with her hair. Dancing lets her transform into animal forms, each with its own movement abilities, and those transformations are the key to reaching areas that are closed off on a first visit. Stages are built to be replayed: as you unlock new forms and items, you return to earlier levels to open up previously unreachable paths and find what you missed. Between stages you explore a hub town, talk to characters and buy upgrades. The game uses hand-drawn character art and animation with layered backgrounds, and it plays out with a light, comedic tone. On Wii U you can play on the TV or on the GamePad screen.
