Shining Force

A handheld remake of the Genesis tactical RPG Shining Force, built for Game Boy Advance. You lead Max and a growing company of fighters, mages, archers and other classes through a story-driven campaign against the forces seeking to revive the Dark Dragon. Between battles you explore towns and dungeons in third-person, talking to residents, buying equipment and promoting characters into advanced classes. Combat plays out on grid-based maps where you move each unit in turn, position for advantageous attacks and manage healing items and spells; fallen allies can be revived at churches rather than lost permanently. The remake adds new playable characters, reworked visuals and additional story scenes, and includes difficulty options for players new to the series or returning to it.
