Shrek – Xbox Game

Shrek for the original Xbox is a 3D action platformer based on the DreamWorks film. You control Shrek himself, exploring fairy-tale themed environments, solving simple obstacle puzzles and dealing with enemies using physical attacks and the ogre’s own crude abilities. Levels are structured around objectives given to you as you go, with items to find and characters to interact with along the way, and the camera follows Shrek from behind as you run, jump and grab your way through each area. The visual style leans on the exaggerated, storybook look of the film, with cartoon creatures and villagers filling out the world. It is an early Xbox release aimed at a family audience, with straightforward controls and short, self-contained stages.
