Silent Scope 2 – PS2 Game

A sniping shooter in the Silent Scope series, converted to PlayStation 2. As in the earlier game, the screen shows the wider scene with a magnified scope window overlaid, and you pan across the environment to locate targets before zooming in to take careful shots. A countdown timer governs each stage, with successful hits granting extra time and hitting civilians or hostages costing you. Levels move between outdoor and interior settings and include sequences where you fire while in motion or track fast-moving targets, closing with boss opponents that require hits on specific points. Shot placement is scored, so precise aiming is rewarded over volume of fire. The home version is played with the standard controller rather than the arcade cabinet’s mounted rifle.
