SimCity 2000 – PS1 Game

SimCity 2000 on PlayStation is a console version of the isometric city-building simulation, with an interface reworked for a controller. You build a city from bare terrain, zoning land for residential, commercial and industrial use at low or high density, connecting it with roads, highways and rail, and supplying power from plants of different types and costs. Water pipes and subways occupy an underground layer, and various map overlays let you inspect pollution, crime, land value and traffic. The annual budget screen covers tax rates, service funding and bond issues. Advisors offer suggestions, newspapers report on events, and disasters such as fires and earthquakes can force rebuilding. Along with unrestricted city construction, there are scenarios that place you in an existing city with a problem to solve under a deadline.
