SimCity 2000 – Sega Saturn Game

SimCity 2000 brings the city-building simulation to the Sega Saturn. You take the role of mayor, zoning land for residential, commercial and industrial use, then connecting it with roads, rails, power lines and water pipes. Budgets, tax rates and services such as police, fire and schools all need managing, and neglecting them shows up in your city’s growth and in the complaints of your citizens. The isometric view lets you build on uneven terrain, raising and lowering land before you develop it. Disasters can strike and wreck the layout you have carefully planned. There is no fixed win condition; you keep adjusting the city as its population changes, and you can start from a blank map or take on a prepared scenario. Play is handled with the Saturn controller rather than a mouse-driven interface.
