Siren – PS2 Game

A survival horror game set in an isolated Japanese village where the residents have become hostile, shambling attackers. You control a rotating cast of characters across interlinked scenarios, each with their own objectives and time frame, and the choices and outcomes gradually fill in a larger picture of what happened. The defining mechanic is sightjacking: you can tune into what nearby enemies are seeing and hearing, letting you track their positions and patrol routes from cover. Because your characters are physically weak and often unarmed, play leans heavily on hiding, timing your movement, and escorting vulnerable companions rather than fighting. The presentation uses grainy, dim visuals and sparse sound to build tension.
