Soldier of Fortune 2 – Xbox Game

Soldier of Fortune II continues the series’ mercenary premise as a first-person shooter, here on the Xbox. You take contracts in a variety of international settings, working through mission objectives with a selection of modern military firearms and equipment. The series’ hallmark damage system returns, tracking hits against individual parts of an enemy’s body so that aim and shot placement change how opponents react. Encounters favour deliberate, aimed shooting over constant sprinting, with cover and enemy positioning mattering in open outdoor areas as well as building interiors. Briefings outline goals before each deployment, and levels are built around completing those tasks in sequence. The Xbox release is designed around the console controller and includes multiplayer options for playing against others in addition to the single-player campaign.
