Soldier of Fortune – PS2 Game

Soldier of Fortune is a first-person shooter in which you play a mercenary taking contracts around the world. Missions send you through urban streets, industrial sites and other real-world settings, working from objective to objective with an arsenal of conventional modern firearms, from pistols and shotguns to assault rifles and explosives. The game is known for its localised damage system, which tracks where bullets strike an enemy and reflects hits on individual body parts, so shot placement changes how opponents react and fall. Levels are largely linear, with briefings framing each contract, and combat is fought at close and medium range against human enemies. This console release adapts the game for a controller, and options let you adjust the level of on-screen violence.
