Sonic Heroes – Gamecube Game

Sonic Heroes is built around teams of three characters rather than a single runner. Each team has a speed, flight and power type, and you switch between them on the fly: the speed character handles rails and homing attacks on chains of enemies, flight carries the group over gaps and hits airborne targets, and power smashes through armoured foes and obstacles. Four teams — led by Sonic, Shadow, Amy and Espio’s group — each run through the same set of stages with different objectives and story scenes, so completing one team’s campaign is only part of the game. Levels emphasise speed, loops, boost pads and set-piece chases, with boss fights against Eggman’s machines. Special stages accessed through keys hold the Chaos Emeralds, and there are multiplayer modes for two players.
