Sonic Mega Collection – Gamecube Game

Sonic Mega Collection brings together Sonic’s Sega Genesis library on one disc. The main lineup covers the numbered Genesis platformers along with Sonic & Knuckles, Sonic 3D Blast, Sonic Spinball and Dr. Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine, a puzzle game built on falling beans. The emulated games run with save-state style support, and a manual viewer lets you read scanned instruction booklets and browse comic covers and artwork. Additional Sega titles unlock as you spend time with the collection, adding non-Sonic Genesis games to the menu. Because the versions here are the original Genesis releases, the platforming plays as it did on that hardware: ring collecting, spin dashes, Chaos Emerald special stages and boss encounters with Dr. Robotnik at the end of each zone.
