Sonic Mega Collection Plus – PS2 Game

Sonic Mega Collection Plus is an expanded version of the Genesis-focused Sonic compilation. It carries the numbered Genesis Sonic platformers, Sonic & Knuckles, Sonic 3D Blast, Sonic Spinball and Dr. Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine, and adds a set of Sonic Game Gear titles to the lineup, so the handheld versions of several games sit alongside their console counterparts. The games are emulated with menu-based access, and extras include scanned manuals and artwork galleries. Further Sega Genesis titles unlock as you use the collection. The platformers play as they originally did: rings act as your health, spin dashes and momentum drive the movement, and Chaos Emerald special stages are hidden behind giant rings or checkpoints depending on the game. Boss fights close out each zone.
