Sonic Rivals – PSP Game

Sonic Rivals is a side-scrolling racing platformer for the PlayStation Portable. Rather than running stages alone, you race a rival character through the same 2.5D level, competing to reach the goal first. Both racers share the course, so pushing, attacking and knocking an opponent off a platform are all part of play, and item cards picked up along the way provide temporary boosts and offensive tricks. Playable characters include Sonic, Knuckles, Shadow and Silver, each with their own story path through the game’s zones, and boss encounters break up the racing. Levels use the usual Sonic furniture of loops, springs, rails and speed boosters. Multiplayer lets two PSP owners race head to head over a wireless connection.
