Space Jam – PS1 Game

Space Jam on the PlayStation is a basketball game based on the film that pairs the Looney Tunes with Michael Jordan. You play arcade-style matches on the court, with the Tune Squad facing off against the alien Monstars rather than a simulation of professional basketball. Rules are loose: characters have exaggerated abilities and cartoon-styled moves, and matches favour fast scoring and over-the-top dunks over realistic play. The roster draws on the film’s cast, and the presentation uses the movie’s characters, court designs and humour. Controls are kept simple so that shooting, passing and stealing are easy to pick up. It works as a short, pick-up-and-play sports title, and it supports head-to-head competition alongside play against the computer.
